Whew! Has this been a week or what? Kids are back in school and normalcy is returning to the routine of everyday life. I have been having issues with my back since we left Chicago, so I have done little excessive movement in order to keep stabilized and heal quickly. I mean, San Antonio is in just three months.

I hit up a CVS, Walgreen’s and Randall’s this week for “back to normal” essentials, ex. toilet paper, pain medication and lunch makers and spent $65.49.

This week was pretty expensive but we still managed to keep it as frugal as possible. We used a lot of stock pile goods last week before we headed out for Chicago, so this week we needed to load back up on the items we killed before the trip. Also, Walgreen’s had a decent sale on items that we are brand loyal [we don't do stinky pits around here], so I hit up that sale which most definately incresed our out of pocket expenses. I spent a total of $138.27 at Randall’s. Walgreen’s, CVS, Target and PetSmart.

It has been an exhausting week of running, running, sleeping, and more running. I can’t wait for next weekend to get here, Chicago bound for my third 1/2 marathon with B, C and by running buddy Mike. I am going to hit up Randall’s today [they are having a big Friday sale]; I was going to go this morning, but C woke up at the booty crack because she thought there was a war waging outside her window… it was the lawn mower.

Yesterday, I took C to the dermatologist for a mollusk on her leg, the doctor wrote us a prescription for a steroid creme that cost $682.99… ::gasp:: Luckily, she gave us a card to get the prescrition FREE.

So far, I’ve accomplished CVS, Walgreen’s and even Kroger [for the TP] and only spent $49.78!

Thank Goodness It’s Friday, Friends! Hallelujah to the weekend!

Do you have any fun plans? I get to run my 9 miler tomorrow morning in prep for the Chicago 1/2 marathon in two weeks. I will probably veg out for a long time after that and rehab my knees.

This week I hit up Walgreen’s, CVS and Randall’s. I found a CVS in my area that usually has all of the ECB deals in stock, mainly because they do not get their signage out promptly, but I’m not complainin’.

Last, but not least, I got anxiety over shopping this week, no joke. I printed out the B1G1 Whonu Cookies and stacked it with the $1.00/1 and my $1.00 Catalina from Kroger, ready to go… I didn’t go, I was too nervous that they would call the police for stacking coupons correctly. I fought with myself the whole way to do my Randall’s trip and then leaving to pass the exit to Kroger, I just don’t feel comfortable there anymore. Does anybody else have this anxiety I speak about? Do you think I should call to action a Kroger Anxiety group so we can help each other deal with the stress they put on their [once] loyal consumers?! Why Kroger, WHY?

So, I’ve been posting about my frugal shopping weeks for a while now and it has been fun… but I do not think it will be as fun as my next feature. I want to see your FRUGAL FINDS as well!

I just love seeing the amazing deals people get; it never ceases to amaze me how coupon-smart people rock the sales.

This week I trucked it to Randall’s, Walgreens, PetSmart and CVS and spent $37.15 [only $14.07 from my pocket, however].

See, what had happened was… I went shopping on Sunday after beating the crowds away at Pier 1, Old Navy, Home Goods and Bath and Body Works – by the time I got to the grocery store, I was pooped. This week we are preparing for our vacation to Florida, so there is not much we need to get out there and shop since most of our next week shopping will be done when we arrive at our destination.

We are subsidizing some of the groceries and preparing a meal one night, to lower the “dining out” cost, that need a few items not already in the cabinet so I hit up HEB, Walgreen’s and CVS this week and spent $49.70.

I got to make my grocery and pharmacy rounds this morning [on a Wednesday!?], after seeing the Dr. for my sore throat.

Shopping on a Wednesday is strange for me because first, I have a grown up job to tend to and second, we have dinner with C on Wednesday nights during the school year. I take B to work on Wednesday mornings and head back home to get to work [this lucky duck gets to work en mi casa!]. But, the summer is upon us and we don’t have our Wednesday dinner tonight, but, we do get to pick up our home skillet on Friday!

This time last year I had the WORST case of Strep EVER. It was the first time I had ever had it, so it took me under. Today is my third day of hopping up on Vitamin C because my throat feels like it’s caving in… just like last year. Apparently, there is a virus going around that’s causing it - I think my pretty little niece brought it over on Sunday, isn’t she just so cute:

Muffin + Dakota

I stopped at CVS, Target, Walgreen’s, Randall’s and HEB and spent only $91 bucaroos.

June 2 Grocery Trip

I finally had a chance to make my grocery and pharmacy rounds today, there are quite a few deal to be had. I stopped at CVS, Target, PetSmart, Randall’s and Walgreens [in that order] and spent only $54 bucaroos.

We had a blast this weekend at the beach, but we got a little toasty, I chaperoned C’s field trip to the Zoo on Tuesday and we went out again to the P-land for our last Wednesday OOh-Rah before summer starts. My baby girl is now a 7th grader, time flies, she is amazing. But, now is the time I need to check my stock to make sure I am well ready for a 7th grader, and friends, to mooch off all of the fun and delicious wares of the H-pantry.
