So, I had no motivation this week to shop for anything, not even new shoes [seriously, I went to TJMaxx to perk up and was just not feeling it].

It may be because our TV was killed last week by a power surge and DH and my brother went out and bought a SWEET 3D tv. Or, maybe because I went to HEB with C on Sunday and got my hand slammed in the car door by the strong winds and haven’t been able to wear my wedding band since :( Or, maybe it’s all the smoke looming around from the wildfires in the area, it’s making me very sleepy. OR, [last one!] it is because I just want to get the heck out of Cypress for my vacation this weekend with by Mini Me and her friend to the BEST water park in Texas…  At any rate, I made it to Wal-Mart on Wednesday just for my peeps [y'all!] and spent $23.35.

This week was pretty expensive but we still managed to keep it as frugal as possible. We used a lot of stock pile goods last week before we headed out for Chicago, so this week we needed to load back up on the items we killed before the trip. Also, Walgreen’s had a decent sale on items that we are brand loyal [we don't do stinky pits around here], so I hit up that sale which most definately incresed our out of pocket expenses. I spent a total of $138.27 at Randall’s. Walgreen’s, CVS, Target and PetSmart.

C and I took a trip to Randall’s this afternoon and stocked up on so much stuff that I couldn’t bare to set up and take the picture. The bottom line is we spent $82.26 and saved $82.63 [51%].

There are two great deals that we took advantage of:

Randalls Rio Deal

First, we bought the Rio DVD for $14.99 and received Orville Redenbacher’s Pop Up Bowl, Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies and Peach Snapple FREE [$7.57 value at my store]. This deal runs through August 16th, so you still have time to boogie on down.

The giant Snapple counted as part of the Beverage Event [$0.50 off each when you buy 10 or more participating beverages], so we purchased 9 more waters and sports drinks to get the $0.50 off each.

Second, we purchased three Freschetta pizzas for $20.97 – $6.00 Sale Price - $5.00 In Ad Coupon  when you buy $15 in frozen foods - 3 $1.00/1 = $8.97! There was a Mail In Rebate attached to one of the boxes – Buy 3 Freschetta Pizzas in one transaction between 8/1/11 and 9/30/11 and receive $10! WHAT! $1.00 Money Maker for three delicious pizzas? Score one for the H girls!

Randall's $10 Coupon

Finally, since we spent more than $75 in one transaction we received a $10.00 reward coupon [it looks like a Catalina] to use on our next trip… probably tomorrow since I forgot to get Diet Coke for my man.

Happy Shopping and remember to link up your weekly trips here – I love to see your scores!

It has been an exhausting week of running, running, sleeping, and more running. I can’t wait for next weekend to get here, Chicago bound for my third 1/2 marathon with B, C and by running buddy Mike. I am going to hit up Randall’s today [they are having a big Friday sale]; I was going to go this morning, but C woke up at the booty crack because she thought there was a war waging outside her window… it was the lawn mower.

Yesterday, I took C to the dermatologist for a mollusk on her leg, the doctor wrote us a prescription for a steroid creme that cost $682.99… ::gasp:: Luckily, she gave us a card to get the prescrition FREE.

So far, I’ve accomplished CVS, Walgreen’s and even Kroger [for the TP] and only spent $49.78!

Last, but not least, I got anxiety over shopping this week, no joke. I printed out the B1G1 Whonu Cookies and stacked it with the $1.00/1 and my $1.00 Catalina from Kroger, ready to go… I didn’t go, I was too nervous that they would call the police for stacking coupons correctly. I fought with myself the whole way to do my Randall’s trip and then leaving to pass the exit to Kroger, I just don’t feel comfortable there anymore. Does anybody else have this anxiety I speak about? Do you think I should call to action a Kroger Anxiety group so we can help each other deal with the stress they put on their [once] loyal consumers?! Why Kroger, WHY?

So, I’ve been posting about my frugal shopping weeks for a while now and it has been fun… but I do not think it will be as fun as my next feature. I want to see your FRUGAL FINDS as well!

I just love seeing the amazing deals people get; it never ceases to amaze me how coupon-smart people rock the sales.

This week I trucked it to Randall’s, Walgreens, PetSmart and CVS and spent $37.15 [only $14.07 from my pocket, however].

Randall’s

See, what had happened was… I went shopping on Sunday after beating the crowds away at Pier 1, Old Navy, Home Goods and Bath and Body Works – by the time I got to the grocery store, I was pooped. So, when I got home I flattened out on the couch and my awesome B helped with the unloading unloaded everything, therefore there is no fancy picture to share.
