I wont be using the diapers or Poise pads, but what a fun and frugal way to be able to give to those in need, right? They are releasing new items all of the time including food, personal care items, stationary/office supplies and cleaning supplies.

This is my referral link – http://ibotta.com/r/a5aDbg - I would be so happy if you would click through and join if you have been sitting on the fence!

I’m not trying to trick you, but today is Saturday. The hub is tailgating for the Texans playoff game, so I figured, Texans usually play on Sunday and I usually post on Friday… why not do a happy medium and not be lazy on Saturday?! Sounds good, right? BTW, Sister is still asleep [it's 2:30 Houston time] just a sayin’.

I went to CVS twice this week, partly because I have been on vacation for the past 2.5 weeks and I forgot how to do math and I forgot 2 coupons at home on the first trip. Cool, right?

Well, I haven’t made it to the grocery store this week, except to meet with a new coupon buddy, HI KARLA!, but no shopping was done in that trip. I have been craving chili like nobody’s business, even if it is 78 degrees in December, I just love chili… and I have a thing of ground sausage chilling in the refrigerator that calls my name every time I open the door. My sister text messaged me on Monday that Kroger was having their Buy 10 get $5 off sale, knowing full well I don’t particulalry like shopping there anymore… she apparently does not care about my feelings. Well, Kroger has Swanson Broth priced at $0.29 after the $0.50 discount, so her dis-concern was worth it… I pretty much dropped everything and ran to the Kroger to see it for myself and sure enough, there were pallets lined up, ready for the taking. Tis the season for donations, so I will be heading back to use my $0.40/5 Swanson broth coupons to donate to our local fire department.

CVS 102812

Wow – I JUST brought back the fun “Frugal on Friday” and not even a week later I go and mess up the schedule. What the heck!? I want you to be able to use some of the same coupons I did, as the expire 10/31 and I need to tell you NOW and not on Friday.

This is my shopping trip I told you I had planned out on Friday, I did a lot of coupon stacking and it payed off. What really paid off is that I went through my gift card bucket and found a $5 CVS Gift Card… which means I really did not pay ANYTHING for the above photo, woot!

What did I get, you question?

4 Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioners @ $2.99 = $11.96 – 2 B1G1 [took off $6.99 and $4.97]= $0

Olay Regenerist Moisturizer $20.99 – $5.00/1 = $15.99

Covergirl Lip Perfection $7.99 - Buy Olay Regenerist Moisturizer get Covergirl Lip Perfection [took off $8.99] = -$1.00 MM!

2 Covergirl Outlast lipstick @ $11.29 = $22.58 – B1G1 50% $5.65 - 2 $2.00/1 – 2 $2.50/1 CVS = $7.93 or $3.96 each [Earn $10 ECB WYB $30]

2 Revlon Nail Polish @ $5.79 = $11.58 – 2 $1.00/1 = $9.58 or 4.79 each [Earn $7 ECB WYB 2]

Total $32.79

Total Spent $3.79 [used $10/$50, $5.00 Beauty Club and $14 ECB]

Total Saved $77.60 or 95% [Earned $17 ECB + $15 MIR]

PS – My $1.00/1 Revlon Color Cosmetics coupons beeped when they were scanned for my nail polish and the cashier thought he would not be able to take the coupon because it says color cosmetic and the picture is of lipstick or face product, I don’t remember. That’s when I pulled out old trusty:Revlon Color Cosmetic - Nail Polish

Look, when you coupon, you can never be too prepared! I believe this coupon is from 8/19 or 8/26; it is expired, but it works for proof that Revlon considers their nail polish to be a color cosmetic. Feel Free to take my pic with you!
