Zaycon Bulk Meat Events

It’s time for another round of top quality meats in our area by Zaycon Foods, have you tried them out yet? If not, you should definitely do so now – call your friends to see if they want to go in with you or donate the portion you may not use to your local charity!

My family’s friendship with Zaycon Foods began in November 2010, over boneless whole chicken breasts, and let me tell you, I was shocked, surprised and SUPER happy with my decision to give them a try and have been pimping them out ever since!

The Zaycon team is so efficient, you don’t even have to get out of you car or truck to pick up your purchases, they walk up with your order, put it where you ask and off you go to seal seal seal.

Cypress, Texas area pick up is Saturday, February 1 at 8am! [Orders must be placed by 1/31/14 at 12am, or before it is sold out]

  • Chicken Breasts (Fresh Boneless Skinless) $1.89/lb [40 # units, $75.60/unit]
    • “NOTE: Our chicken is delivered in its original wholesale packaging, a water resistant cardboard case containing three or four plastic bags of fresh chicken breasts. The smaller bags are typically sealed in a larger plastic bag. The smaller bags are not uniform in weight. There will be small amounts of naturally occuring liquids (i.e.,”chicken juice”) in each bag and case. Chicken breasts typically come in double-lobed pairs (“butterfly”) and will have small attached amounts of fat.” [source]

Check out Zaycon Foods here. I bet there is an event close to you, they are expanding their reach as the word gets out about their products.

Remember back in the day when we first got our sweet Dakota and we were still trying to find what fits her style… and what doesn’t? Remember the tattoos I received from one of our tests? Well, today, my friends, I have another test that has been long outlived.

I had my ganglion cyst expunged.

What does that have to do with this pretty girl?

dak1

[Almost] EVERYTHING.

You see, we run… A LOT… and I get tired of holding her leash in a fist, so I moved it to my wrist, easy to maneuver and hold in place without having to run with a solid fist the whole time. Runners, you understand, right? As it turns out, this is a bad idea to lead your pup in this manner and will cause trauma to your wrist if a squirrel or cat runs by and you are not ready for the jolt.

So, I’ve had this baby since before our Ironman in Austin, at least 2 months. I was going to add a picture of the before, but I didn’t take one because it hurt so bad after I got it shrunk down to the size I thought it wouldn’t hurt anymore… but I was wrong. You can look it up if you want, some of them are PRETTY nasty.

But here is my after shot:CystMy Dr. numbed it with lidocane [which set my wrist on fire... GIRL ON FIRE, yall] then used a 16 gauge needle to try and suck out the goo… but that didn’t work so we worked together like it was the mother of all pimples. It was AWESOME! Nothing like two grown women going at a pimple, right? You’re welcome for the visual, its burned in my brain too.

So, if ever you need suggestions on pet rearing when it comes to leashes, I feel I am well qualified to help you out. Also, when it comes to tetanus shots and other 16 gauge needles, I’m you’re gal.

PS – My daughter has been getting at me to “just get that nasty thing off” for the last 2 weeks, so I sent her the able “selfie”. Her response “Such a sad selfie, but yay! No more nasty bump.” <3

Through December 31, 2013, Gringo’s is offering a Bonus $10 Gift Card to be used between 1/2/14 and 3/31/14 with each purchase of $50 in gift cards. So, as you can see below in our annual pie graph of dining expenses, a little under 25% of our total is to Gringo’s…

Gringo's Pie Chart 2013Trivia: If we purchased enough gift cards to use one $10 bonus gift card each Wednesday Date Night from 1/2/14 to 3/30/14 we would have $720 in gift cards and bonuses… which might get us through half of they year…

Today, I went to get a pack of M&M’s from the candy drawer and this is what I opened up to:

Mice

I am SO sad. All of my Hershey with Almond down the trash bag… and the Hershey kisses and the tootsie rolls. WHAT A WORLD!!

I sent the pic to our amazing exterminator, Jeff at Superior Pest [281-753-2677], and he has verified that the teeth marks are from mice and not Anole lizards as I wished, haha.

I know it has happened within the last week because my Sweet C went to the drawer just last Friday for some gum to chew without any eyebrows raised.

This is what Dak think’s about the whole situation after I’ve texted B and C the pictures incriminating the mice who encroached our glorious candy space. This is exactly why C and I have been polling for a cat for the past year, no mouse would have gotten away with this with a cat in the house!

dak

So… If you find some great deals on candy… Let me know!

  • USDA nutrition labeling standards defines “extra lean” and “lean” ground beef based on the lean/fat ratio. Zaycon Bulk Meat Events

Time for another round of high quality meat sales in our area by Zaycon Foods, have you tried them out yet? Seeing as the calendar reads that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, what better way to get prepared for your company and try out Zaycon Foods at the same time. It’s win-win and you will not be disappointed with the quality and taste.

I hit them up for their hickory smoked bacon when they were here in January and let me tell you, I was shocked, surprised and SUPER happy with my decision to try out another one of their fantastic meat selections. I shared the cost of the bacon with my Mom and two other people from my couponing board on Facebook, so the price tag wasn’t too killer with people to split the pot… I think having 36# of bacon is great, but is a bit much for a family of 2.5. The bacon is natural and comes from local Southern and Midwest states; they are hickory smoked, medium sliced and sealed into twelve packages of 3 pounds each which make it very convenient to share the cost with friends and neighbors… or not ;)

Zaycon BaconFresh Hickory Smoked Bacon - This bacon has had the same award winning cure since 1959, cured for a minimum of 24 hours, and hickory smoked for at least 7.5 hours, the smoking process includes only actual hardwood chips burned in the stocker, this creates the color and flavor that makes this cure so special, in addition to color and taste our bacon has been carefully hand trimmed from each belly for consistent sizing.

The Zaycon team is so efficient, you don’t even have to get out of you car or truck to pick up your purchases, they walk up with your order, put it where you ask and off you go to share, sauté and save.

Cypress, Texas area pick up is Monday, June 17th! [Orders must be placed by 6/16/13, or before it is sold out]

  • Hickory Smoked, Medium Sliced Bacon $3.49/lb [36# units, $125.64/unit]

Check out Zaycon Foods here. I bet there is an event close to you, they are expanding their reach as the word gets out about their products.
